“Based on personal experiences having problems accessing electricity or power outlets, feedback from students and dialogue with officials from the library, we [the USM] acquired the knowledge that there was a need for mobile power outlets,” commented Mighty. “The power outlets will aid the students and workers in accessing electricity for their devices.”

Miss Palmer was appreciative of the donations.  “The fact that our student government has taken the initiative to donate these power supplies will make a huge difference. We have seen an increase in the usage of the library and students need a quiet space with easy electrical access.”

The donation was done during Library and Information Week which is celebrated annually and more specifically on Library and Information Professionals Day. Miss Palmer says the presentation during this time , makes the feeling of recognition heightened.
