The Unsung Heroes of Heroes Day

Elders of the Coleyville Seventh-day Adventist Church installed a ceiling in the home of an elderly member on Hero’s Day, Monday October 15, in the Dobson community as part of their Kindness Week initiative.
The recipient, known to many as Tas Dixon, has been without a roof for as long as he lived in the house. The first Elder of the church, Mark Powell, says that he took notice of the condition of the ceiling during a shut-in communion visit being conducted by the elders of the church.
Deaconesses from the church jumped on board the initiative cleaning the house and washing laundry for Dixon.
Elder Powell says that there are future plans to build a toilet for Mr Dixon.
