At the heart of it all is the social, academic, financial and spiritual development of students; hence an officer is assigned to each category that is under the governance of the USM President.
The USM President is the Chief Servant and Principal Officer of the USM with responsibility for leading the
USM Council and managing its operations, in accordance with the policies and procedures of the Movement. Issues
such as the general welfare of students and mediation with key members of the school administration are primary
concerns for the President.
Vice President Academic Administration
The Vice President for Academic Administration assists with all presidential responsibilities at the President’s
request and focuses particularly on those matters relating to students’ academic affairs and the general educational
matters at the University.
Vice President for Finance and Planning
The Vice President for Finance and Planning represents the USM on the NCU Finance Committee; oversees, manages and maintains all the assets of the Movement and will effectively budget the non-liquid and liquid assets o the Movement.
Vice President Student Services & Social Affairs
The Vice President for Student Services and Social Affairs will assist with all Presidential responsibilities but will focus particularly on all aspects of student services and social development, through socially stimulating and enriching programs, which includes recreational and cultural activities. This office also addresses student-related social issues. Additionally, responsibility for dormitory issues, food, and cafeteria concerns, issues relating to students’ security and safety are also a priority for the USM VP for Student Services and Social Affairs.
Vice President for Spiritual Affairs
The Vice President for Spiritual Affairs caters to the spiritual needs of the students by organizing and conducting regular prayer and fasting sessions, Bible studies, and consecratory services. The VP of Spiritual Affairs stands as the primary organizer of spiritual events for students on campus and serves to ensure the spiritual development the students.
The President and the four (4) Vice Presidents serve as the primary leaders of the USM. However, they are supported by several other members whose integral roles contribute to the success of each regime.
