Prime Beats on Culture Day

Creative music group “Prime Beats” wows hundreds of spectators during a performance at the Culture Fest celebration during Open Day yesterday October 26, 2018, at the Northern Caribbean University (NCU) Gymnatorium.
When asked to comment on the genesis of Prime Beats, the founder and NCU Alumnus Mr. Levy, realized that the students were very loud and instead of quieting the students, he decided to redirect their noise and channel it into music.
The group from the New Forest Primary Junior High and Infant School has been active for a year. The group reached their ultimate exposure when they made an appearance on Smile Jamaica. “Prime beats” is also the current national award holder for Creative music.
The group utilizes items such as buckets, barrels, pot covers and graters to make music instead of professional instruments.
