GUNMEN ‘IN WE’ NEIGHBOURHOOD! 11 NCU students robbed at gunpoint in Cedar Grove.

MANDEVILLE, NCU – Eleven (11) Northern Caribbean University (NCU) students were robbed at gunpoint on two consecutive nights this week in the Cedar Grove Housing Scheme.
According to Sergeant E. Powell, the Manchester Criminal Investigation Department (CID) is working assiduously to catch these criminals.
Students are therefore urged to take precautionary measures on their commutes to and from school. Sergeant Powell added that the authorities will be stepping up patrol in the surrounding communities as to assure the safety of students.
It is alleged that two males about 5’11 wearing hoodies over their faces attacked and robbed 4 girls and 1 boy on Monday night after 10:00 p.m. and another 5 individuals on Tuesday night. While on their way home, the armed thieves cocked their guns and told the victims to give up their valuables. After gathering everything, the thieves ran off. The victim’s phones, cash and other valuable items were stolen.
