Driver charged with reckless driving, NCU worker released from hospital

The driver of a Mazda van that was involved in a two-vehicle collision this morning at the entrance to the Northern Caribbean University has been charged with reckless driving by the police.
He is to appear in the court after a later date. He has also been ticketed for driving without insurance.
Meanwhile, a female NCU worker that sustained minor injuries has since been released from the hospital after receiving treatment.
According to reports at about 9 a.m. the worker who was driving a Toyota Starlet exited West Indies Preparatory after taking her two children to school. It is further reported that a commercial vehicle ran through the red light and slammed into the Starlet.
The woman who was the sole occupant of the vehicle was removed by bystanders
