Mandeville, Jamaica- Brodie dominated USM’s pre-sporting penalty shoot-out securing 7 points over their opponents in the first round of games on September 22, 2020, on the NCU playing field.
Top bear striker, David Thompson, came out on top, scoring the winning goal in the sudden-death bringing Brodie the ultimate victory.
Jermaine Holmes also dominated as Brodie’s top striker scoring 2 goals followed by Zachary Berry, Neil Brivette and Konroy Russell who scored one goal each.
Chisholm fell in second place with 6 goals, followed by Fletcher with 5 and Beaumont with 3.
Meanwhile, in the FIFA competition, the following scores were secured in the game’s six rounds.

According to Female Sports Director, Ketra Salmon, the day’s activities were a success considering the nature of the event.
“The fact that we were able to pull this off on the first try, I’m very pleased. It’s just that we need persons to come out and support their team while maintaining social distancing and following the protocols,” shared Salmon.
Male Sports Director, Matthew Berry also implored students to come out and support their various houses as the games continue into Thursday. He also shared that the remaining games will also be streamed LIVE on USM’s social media platforms for students’ benefit.
Berry says the remaining matches for the penalty shoot-out will be announced in short order as well other upcoming games.
